Farewell, My Friend!

Today is Thanksgiving Day, and we all should thanks to god and having a reunion day with your family. Honestly, it supposed to be a happy and cherish moment, but I don’t have the mood to celebrate it, as today is also the 3rd death anniversary of Daniel…

For your information, Daniel is my best neighbor and classmate. We have a very close brotherhood and we always hang out together during high school. Daniel is a very brave and dedicated person, thus he always has a big dream to become a tough and smart police officer in the future.

Honestly, he managed to achieve his dream and became a police officer after he graduated from a local university. It’s even more delight, when he found himself as one of the motor officers that patrolling with a BMW motorcycle! Yep, I’m also glad for him, as he finally had the job that he’s always dreamed of…

However, god might have his plans on his children. Sometimes, many unpredictable events might take place in anytime, anywhere. A few months after Daniel being accepted as the motor officer, he was involved in a bank robbery case, and he had been shot directly on his heart!

When the ambulance arrived in the crime scene, the paramedics declared Daniel were Death on Arrival (DOA). Daniel’s parent was very upset and depressed when they heard this bad news. They blamed the local police department for not distribute any bullet proof vests to the motor officers. They assumed that Daniel might still alive, if he is wearing a bullet proof vest. As a result, they have decided to sue the police department in the very beginning, but after they cancelled the action, after I advised them!

Daniel, although it has been three years you’re gone, but I’m still very proud to have a brave friend likes you. You’re a natural born police officer and I hope you’ll have a happy life in the other world…

Hi Wilhb - that is so sad. But as you say, at least he was happy doing what he wanted to do before he died.

And I know what you mean about trying to sue folk. Sometimes, it can drag on so long, you wind up broke. And it wouldn't bring him back.

Cath: Yeah, maybe you're right, Cath. Hopefully, Daniel will have the same thought as I did...

By the way, thanks for dropping by and the constructive advice, Cath ;)
