The Little Red Riding Hood???

Little Red Riding Hood is skipping down the road
when she sees the Big Bad Wolf crouched down behind a log.

"My, what big eyes you have, Mr. Wolf,"
says Little Red Riding Hood.

The surprised wolf jumps up and runs away.
Further down the road Little Red Riding Hood sees the wolf again;
this time he is crouched behind a tree stump.

"My, what big ears you have Mr. Wolf," says Little Red Riding Hood.

Again the foiled wolf jumps up and runs away.
About 2 miles down the road, Little Red Riding Hood sees the wolf again, this time crouched down behind a road sign.
"My, what big teeth you have Mr. Wolf," taunts Little Red Riding Hood.

With that the Big Bad Wolf jumps up and screams,
"Will you get lost? I'm trying to take a dump!"

Rookie is on the job

A rookie police officer was out for his first ride in a cruiser with an experienced partner. A call came in telling them to disperse some people who were loitering.

The officers drove to the street and observed a small crowd standing on a corner.

The rookie rolled down his window and said, "Let's get off the corner people."

A few glances, but no one moved, so he barked again, "Let's get off that corner... NOW!"

Intimidated, the group of people began to leave, casting puzzled stares in his direction.

Proud of his first official act, the young policeman turned to his partner and asked, "Well, how did I do?"

Pretty good," chuckled the vet, "especially since this is a bus stop."

How to ping the D-link DSL router

The D-Link T-series products are based on the Texas Instruments (TI) AR7 communications processor (T = TI, geddit?). The AR7 uses a bootloader / monitor called ADAM2 which is held in flash memory. Unless the area of flash memory holding the ADAM2 code has been corrupted (unlikely) then the router can be recovered by accessing ADAM2 directly.

The usual problem with a 'dead' DSL-G604T is that a firmware upgrade has 'gone wrong'. This can readily (?) be overcome by resetting the environment variables which determine how flash memory is 'partitioned', then loading the firmware and factory default config settings again.

This procedure can be done 'by hand' (which is instructive, but can be technical) or by using a recovery utility and a script to automate things. Unfortunately, D-Link has not released a recovery utility program, but they have released some info which you can find on the D-Link AU site here. Unfortunately, there is a small snag with this information - the default IP address of a UK-spec device is 192.168.1.1 *not* 10.1.1.1 so you will need to do some editing. If you want to follow this route, you can read more about upgrading to AU firmware on the D-Link UK site here.

For more info on ADAM2, start here then follow the links for ADAM2. The issue that you need to be aware of is that V1 firmware uses two separate binary images (kernel and filesystem) loaded into two MTD 'partitions', whereas V2 and V3 firmware uses a single binary image loaded into a different MTD 'partition'...
There are a number of third-party utilities which can help with the process, both from other vendors of TI AR7 based products, and from self-help user groups. Perhaps the best (?) of these is CICLaMaB. Or you could use the TI utility adam2app.exe.

I'll (re)post the necessary MTD settings for both V1 and V2 and later firmware later (when I'm on a different system). It really is quite straightforward when you've done it once or twice...

Hope this helps!

NOTE: Some later D-Link T-series products use an alternative bootloader to ADAM2 called PSPBOOT. I don't have personal experience of a PSPBOOT-based router.

Funny Enough...?

This old man was feared by all his neighbors because they believe he practiced black magic and was responsible for missing cats and dogs and strange sounds at all hours. Every time he had a confrontation with his wife, screams and yelling could be heard deep into the night along with the same statement.

“When I die I will dig my way up and out of the grave to come back and haunt you for the rest of your life!” Well he died abruptly under strange circumstances and the funeral had a closed casket. After the burial, the wife went straight to the local bar and began to party as if there was no tomorrow.

The cheerfulness of her actions was becoming extreme while her neighbors approached in a group to ask these questions: are you not afraid? Worried? Concerned? That this man who practiced black magic and stated when he died he would dig his way up and out of the grave to come back and haunt you for the rest of your life? The wife put down her drink and said, “Let the jerk dig. I had him buried upside down.”

Nuffnang Community Go Green to Save Sumatran Rhino

A community like Nuffnang should never merely be known just for organizing events to bring bloggers together. A respectable community is not just one that brings good things upon itself, but also unto others; be it using its influence to help others outside the community, a charity foundation or an environmental organization.

Today, we fulfill that dream.

The Sumatran rhino is one of five known species of the rhinoceros family and is considered a Malaysian heritage, being the only rhino species found in Malaysia. It is also “the most seriously endangered species of large mammals in the world” with only an estimated 300 of them left in the world.

In January 2006, Honda initiated the Honda – WWF Rhino Rescue Project and pledged RM5,000,000 over a period of 5 years to save the Sumatran Rhino. The project marked the very first corporate sponsorship dedicated to the Sumatran Rhino.

Today the thousands of us Nuffnangers can too lend a helping hand and it does not require the equivalent millions that Honda has pledged. It too does not require the courage or commitment that these men have put in to save the Sumatran Rhino.

All we need to do is what us bloggers do best:
Using our blogs as a medium to broadcast the existence of such initiatives, that even children in school have caught hold of.

If you’d like to be part of the Nuffnang Community to save our Sumatran Rhino, embed the Save the Rhinos logo on your blog, write about the Honda – WWF Rhino Rescue Project or support the initiative in whatever way you deem fit.

Today is the day we prove that blogging community is indeed… a powerful one.

My StartXChange Review

I think this is the suitable time for me to do a review for StartXchange...

For your guys info, I've been a member of StartXchange since 12, April 2005 it's about 2 years ago. I'm also joined a lot of other Traffic Exchange sites beside of StartXchange, but I'm founf out that StartXChange has its own unique features that other sites cannot compare of...

First of all, this site is owned by Tim Landen, a very nice & dedicated guy that treat every member like the family member. This site has been around since 2001 & have been one of the top ten site each year among the others.

One of the feature that I like the most, is the "User Statistics" feature. This feature will record the credits we earned today, from surf ratio, from surfing bonus, referrals, teams, purchased & from prizes...All of the credits will be record daily into the chart, so it is very easy for us to check it.

Secondly, the "URL Manager" also easy to use as well. When we want to add a new site, all that we need to do is type in the URL & then just click the "add" button, then wait for the system to check whether the site is framebreaker or not...After it, the site will be approve immediately, without need to wait even a second!!! Beside that, there is a credit's tracker that will tell us how many credits have been assigned & been delivery to our site as well.

There also a very good "My Banner" feature, where the member can convert the credits into the banner impressions as much as U love...

For the new member, there is a "StartXchange Training" that will guide U step by step, from Zero to Hero...

The feature I love the most, is this "MyStartXchange Checklist", where it's enable us to turn auto assign on, upload photo, get the latest newsletter from Tim, Link exchange to your site & the massive lure to me ---> the daily 10% surfing bonus, where if we surf each day according to the goal we set, ie like Level 10 ( about 24-29 pages per day for Level 10 Goal ), we will get this 10% daily surfing bonus...Sometimes, Tim will have some surprise to the member, where the surfing bonus will be add up to 50% or even to 75%!!!

At StartXchange, we can surf either by ourself or by joining a team through the "My Team" feature. Teamwork mean we can surf as a team & have the chance to win the Jackpot prize ( isn't this sound great to U...lol ) I'm have joined a team & I will benefit from it much more than all by myself :)

Well, althought we can benefit, even join as a free member at StartXchange, but I think that we will get much more if we consider to upgrade, either to Gold member ( only cost $6 per month ) or Platinum member ( cost $14.95 per month ). One of the most obvious feature that we can see, is the free member need to surf 3 sites to earn 1 credit, while the gold member surf 2 sites to get 1 credit & the Platinum member even better...is 1:1!!!

I'm a StartXChange "Die hard" supporter, I'm will surf averagely 400 pages per day, I'm still remember that I'm even surfed over 2,300 ++ sites few days ago...lol

Overally, StartXChange is over the top of all, but I think it would be better, if Tim can add the E-Gold, moneybooker or webmoney for the payment methods. If Tim do so, i'm sure that many old or new members will be consider to upgrade, as we know that not all of the members can use the paypal because the paypal company have limitation at some countries...

For those that haven't join StartXChange yet, take this opportunity to join it here...

Meaning of... 'potentially' and 'realistically'

A young boy went up to his father and asked him, "Dad, what is the
difference between 'potentially' and 'realistically'?"

The father thought for a moment, then answered, "Go ask your mother
if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars. Then ask
your sister if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars,
and then, ask your brother if he'd sleep with Brad Pitt for a million
dollars. Come back and tell me what you learn from that."

So the boy went to his mother and asked, "Would you sleep with Brad
Pitt for a million dollars?"

The mother replied, "Of course, I would! We could really use that
money to fix up the house and send you kids to a great university!"

The boy then went to his sister and asked, "Would you sleep with Brad
Pitt for a million dollars?"

The girl replied, "Oh, good heavens! I LOVE Brad Pitt and I would
sleep with him in a heartbeat. Are you nuts?"

The boy then went to his brother and asked, "Would you sleep with
Brad Pitt for a million dollars?"

"Of course," the brother replied. "Do you know how much a million
bucks would buy?"

The boy pondered the answers for a few days and then went back to his dad.

His father asked him, "Did you find out the difference between
'potentially' and 'realistically'?"

The boy replied, "Yes, 'Potentially', you and I are sitting on three
million dollars, but 'realistically', we're living with two hookers
and a future congressman."

Elephant Time

A young man is wandering around the zoo looking at the animals. He suddenly remembers about an appointment that he scheduled. Unfortunately, he forgot his watch. He searchs for someone who could give him the time.

He sees a zoo keeper standing next to an elephant. "Excuse me, sir," says the young man "Do you know what time it is?"

The zoo keeper reaches under the elephant, grabs his balls and starts playing with them.

"Mmmmm, it is about 3:00," the zoo keeper responds.

The young man looks at him in awe, "How did you know that?" The zoo keeper looks back at the man, "I looked at the clock on the wall right behind you."

Creamy Chicken Enchiladas

Prep: 45 minutes; Bake : 20 minutes + 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 2/3 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups torn fresh spinach or 1/2 of a 10-ounce package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion
  • 1-1/4 cups light dairy sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 cup fat-free milk
  • 1 4-ounce can diced green chile peppers, drained
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 6 7-inch flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (2 ounces)
  • Chopped tomato or purchased salsa (optional)
  • Thinly sliced green onions or snipped fresh cilantro (optional)

Directions

1. In a large skillet combine chicken, chicken broth, and black pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 12 to 14 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink. Drain well; cool slightly. When cool enough to handle, use 2 forks to shred chicken into bite-size pieces. (You should have about 1-1/2 cups shredded chicken.) Set aside.

2. If using fresh spinach, place spinach in a steamer basket over boiling water. Reduce heat. Cover and steam for 3 to 5 minutes or until tender. (Or in a covered medium saucepan, cook fresh spinach in a small amount of boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes.) Drain well.

3. For filling, in a large bowl combine shredded chicken, spinach, and the 2 tablespoons green onion; set aside. For sauce, in a small bowl combine sour cream, flour, salt, and cumin. Stir in milk and chile peppers. Stir half (about 1 cup) of the sauce into the chicken mixture; set remaining sauce aside.

4. Coat a 2-quart rectangular baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Divide the filling among the tortillas. Roll up tortillas. Place tortillas, seam sides down, in the prepared dish. Spoon remaining sauce atop tortillas.

5. Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake about 20 minutes more or until heated through. Sprinkle with cheese; let stand for 5 minutes. If desired, garnish with chopped tomato or salsa and additional green onions or cilantro. Makes 6 servings.

Please Tickle Me, Elmo...

There is a factory in Northern Minnesota which makes the Tickle Me Elmo toys. The toy laughs when you tickle it under the arms. Well, Lena is hired at The Tickle Me Elmo factory and she reports for her first day promptly at 8:00 AM.

The next day at 8:45 AM there is a knock at the Personnel Manager's door. The Foreman throws open the door and begins to rant about the new employee. He complains that she is incredibly slow and the whole line is backing up, putting the entire production line behind schedule.

The Personnel Manager decides he should see this for himself, so the 2 men march down to the factory floor. When they get there the line is so backed up that there are Tickle Me Elmo's all over the factory floor and they're really beginning to pile up. At the end of the line stands Lena surrounded by mountains of Tickle Me Elmo's.

She has a roll of plush red fabric and a huge bag of small marbles. The 2 men watch in amazement as she cuts a little piece of fabric, wraps it around two marbles and begins to carefully sew the little package between Elmo's legs.

The Personnel Manager bursts into laughter. After several minutes of hysterics he pulls himself together and approaches Lena. "I'm sorry," he says to her, barely able to keep a straight face, "but I think you misunderstood the instructions I gave you yesterday..."

"Your job is to give Elmo two test tickles."

The Scottie Dog Who Knew Karate

There once was a young couple who lived in a town filled with crime. After three neighbors' houses had been robbed, the couple decided to get a guard dog.

So one day the wife went to the pet store and said, “I need a good guard dog.”

And the clerk replied, “Sorry, we're all sold out. All we have left is this little Scottie dog. But he knows karate.”

The wife didn't believe him so he said to the dog, "Karate that chair.”

The dog went up to the chair and broke it into pieces, then he said to the dog, “Karate that table.” The dog went up to the table and broke it in half.

So the wife bought the dog and took it home to her husband who was expecting a big guard dog. But then she told her husband that it knew karate, and he said “Karate my ass!”
