The Ways to Turn the Crisis Into a New Turning Point!

According to the Chinese lunar calendar (Thanks for telling me, Adwin!), 2009 is the year of ox, where it supposed to be a very good and prosperous year, but it seems like a very tough year, where most of the people have to struggle in their daily life, due to the global recession!

Well, most of my friends and colleagues have become the victims of this economic crisis. Some of them even have already declared bankruptcy (I felt sad and sorry for them)! To be honest, my situation isn’t that good comparing with them, where I just got my salary cut-off 20% on 5th January. At first, I was very pissed off with this situation, but after that I take a deep breath and calm down myself. I told myself, “Well, it’s still better than being fired, isn’t it?” So, I decided to continue with my current job!

Maybe there’s a bless from the god, a few days after my salary being deducted, my employer called me to his office. We’re have a few minute chat and he said that he didn’t really want to cut-off my salary. However, in order to save the company from bankrupt, he has no choice but to cut down the employees’ salaries! He hoped that I’ll understand his difficulties and try to persuade the other employees to get through the bad time together (Oh, I forgot to mention that I’m the supervisor in the company).

Oh well, since my boss has asked for my favorite, I have no reason to refuse his request. Thus, I have done my best to appease my colleagues and telling them to stay together, no matter what happen in the future (Hopefully, they did listen to what I have told them…)!

Every year, our company is going to order dozens of calendars and give each to every worker. We’re mostly stick the calendar with the pushpin on the whiteboard. I noticed that this method is very inconvenient indeed, as it not only waste money but no environmental friendly as well! Hence, I’ve figured out the way to overcome the above matter and my effort have paid off, when I discovered this incredible solution: web calendar.

The web calendar is an online and easy-to-use calendar. Unlike the traditional calendar, you can keep all your daily, weekly or monthly schedules online. With just a simple click and type, you can arrange and jot down all the important meetings, birthdays, and reunion events in 9 separate calendars.

Hooray, I found what I want and I’m very excited about it. Hold on a minute, I remembered that some of my colleagues love to share their photos with people from all around the world. They’ve asked me to find a great method, where it allows them to do the photo sharing without any additional charges (free). Ok, since you guys have asked for it, then I’ll get it done instantly. Within the same website, I found it offers the photo sharing feature, where the user can upload as many photos as they want into the free account!

The story hasn’t end yet, where I accidentally found a Nascar schedule and Nascar 2009 Racing schedule at the same time. For your information, my boss, Teddy is a big fan of Nascar Racing and he never missed every big events, such as the Daytona 500 NASCAR, racingcom, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Talladega! I’m sure this Nascar schedule will make him feeling excited.

After I have done with my “Alpha Searching Project”, I’ve informed of what I searched during the last few days at home to my boss. He was overwhelming with all the free web calendar, photo sharing and Nascar schedule stuffs. As a result, he decided to increase my salary 40% higher than the previous (Thanks for the raise up, Teddy)!

Well, here’s the lesson of the above story, “Never give up whatever how tough the situation is, as there’s always a hope awaiting you in the end of the road!”
